Yesterday (Tuesday, Nov 8th) we noticed a significant increase in our server load and other issues that seemed to be knocking this site offline at points.

We've spent most of this morning looking at causes and then reconfiguring services to fix the various issues.

As of 13:00 GMT today, it looks like we've been able to get things resolved but we are aware that customers would have experienced problems for a few hours while we were troubleshooting things.

Apologies, as ever, for any frustration and inconvenience experienced in the interim.
