QuickFind: Access Restricted (#1)

The QuickFind tool is intended to provide customers (and potential customers) with information to help with their personal printers.

However, wholesale data trawling is discouraged and as such there is a system of identifying and limiting data trawling.

Your browsing behaviour has triggered the first stage of the system, so please read the information below for more information on why, and how to avoid triggering it again.

Why Was I Redirected To This Article?

This initial page is triggered if you attempt to view more than:

  • 3 printers in a minute
    ..OR..
  • 4 printers in an hour.

These limits are set as most visitors wouldn’t need to access information on that many printers so quickly. This sort of behaviour is more common of those trying browse the entire QuickFind database and copy the information.

This Is The First Time I’ve Read This Article

If that’s the case, then chances are you’ve been getting carried away with how useful the QuickFind tool is, and/or just been curious.

Much as we would love to encourage genuine curiosity, unfortunately there are companies, competitors and copyright thieves who would rather steal the data and generally rip off our hard work for their own personal profit.

The net result is that limits like this have to be applied otherwise maintaining this resource would become impossible

What’s The Best Way To Use the QuickFind Tool

Unless you own 5 different printers, that have all hit “Service Required” on the same day, you shouldn’t have any problems.
Just restrict your searches to printers that you have a direct interest in.

Will I Be Able To Access Additional Printer Models?

Depending on the number of searches you’ve already done, you may find you need to wait between a couple of minutes to an hour before you will be able to access additional information.

If in doubt, please contact us with the printer models you require info’ on and we’ll see what we can do to help.

Can [you] Access The Printers I’ve Searched Before

Yes, even though you are blocked from further searching for the moment, you can still look at the information for those printer models you’ve searched successfully for

FAO: Printer Service professionals, potential resellers, etc…

A wider access to this resource may be available depending on your status and intent… Please contact us if you are interested in discussing this further.
