Using CLI-42v2 inks in x51 an x71 cartridges

Posted on 14th Jun 2018 @ 1:50:05 PM

We've recently had some interest from customers who decided they wanted to experiment with the CLI-42 (ver2) inks in their own 5 and 6 colour printers (eg: iP8750) and it seems it was well worth the effort.

Using the standard CMYK in place of the CLI-551 carts and the 42GY (v2) for the CLI-551GY produces a good quality print that tends to a "warm" tone but can be tweaked, with custom profiling, to get the most accurate result.

We'll be providing a KB/FAQ page with more details on what the inks offer and the pros/cons as well as product bundles for the inks in 4, 5 and 6 ink bundles. But, for now just a heads up that we're not ignoring the interest.
