Waste Ink Solutions (T04D0, T04D1) for ET-7700, ET-2700, ET-3700, ET-2700, L6000, etc…

From around 2014 Epson started playing with the idea of user replaceable waste ink pads and moving to a chip to store the waste counter rather than leaving it in the printers memory. These products are known as “Maintenance boxes” and now make up a large part of the Epson printer approach to waste ink although it has been a long slog getting to the point they considered it necessary.

While many Epson printers now have these units, it’s important to check ahead if you’re buying a new printer. Some of the cheaper units, even Ecotank types, such as the ET-2820 still make use of an internal waste ink counter and porous pad assemblies that are officially not supposed to be end-user serviceable.

The lists below are not exhaustive so if your printer model is not listed try web searching using the terms “Epson maintenance box [your printer model]” to check.

We have and continue to get a lot of queries about whether we have a Printer Potty kit for these so we’ll keep this page updated as/when alternative/compatible options become available. In most cases the solution will be the original part itself and we are now stocking these units.

Printer Potty or Compatible Alternatives?

However, if it becomes apparent that a compatible option is worth providing then we will put in the time to research and make one available.
