Pending update
This little nugget of information is intended for those customers who refill their Canon cartridges but who wish to check the amount of ink based on the cartridge weight rather than using any visual indicators.
Relevant Cartridges (Original/OEM only):
- PGI-520 & CLI-521
- PGI-220 & CLI-221
- PGI-525 & CLI-526
- PGI-225 & CLI-226
Weights for full cartridges by colour
- (PGI) Pigment Black: 35.3g
- (CLI) Photo Black: 20.4g
- (CLI) Yellow: 20.2g
- (CLI) Cyan: 20.3g
- (CLI) Magenta: 20.2g
These weights are provided as a guide and some allowance should be made for the fact that the cartridge sponge will absorb differing amounts of ink depending on dryness, age, etc… and that overfilling can cause ink to clog the cartridge vent matrix.
