Premises Relocation: Dates and anticipated order dispatch delays

Thursday 18th -> Thursday 25th May 2017 (Amended)

 

Short version:

OctoInkjet is moving premises to a new workshop with increased space including an office area. The move will mean the following:

  • Orders will be shipped as normal until 2pm, Thursday 18th May
  • Orders placed between closure and Wednesday 24th May were intended for dispatch on Thursday 25th but have been delayed until Friday 26th May (Amended)
  • Normal service (particularly phone support) will now resume from Tuesday 30th May
  • Support will be limited to email with phone messages returned once our new line and number have been setup
  • This was meant to allow for the usual glitches, and ensures we can get everything disassembled, moved and setup again. We hit more than we expected.

 

Current Status:

  • Technical issues with network and computer equipment resolved @20:00 BST 25/05/17
  • 95% of stock and packaging materials transferred
  • Order Pick & Pack area near completion
  • Last orders shipped @ 12:00 BST Friday 19th May
  • Amazon, NeedlEZ.co.uk and eBay all closed down temporarily

Long version:

We've been in our current workshop space now for five years and while we've managed to bend the space to meet our needs, it's not been enough to help us grow the business properly. Lack of space has made it difficult to research multiple printers, ink supplies, etc... properly without having to swap and store printers which resulted in lost momentum. We've also long dreamt of having a dedicated space to shoot video, take product photos, etc...

Well, with very little warning we were offered a chance to move into new premises that provide us with a significant increase in space, seperate office areas and even a room that would suit as a video/photo booth of sorts.

Unfortunately it's come with very little warning and while it's not ideal we've grabbed the opportunity with both hands and are hoping to have everything up and running again in a few days. While it would be wonderful to think we could move in less then 2 days, the sheer amount of inks, packaging and equipement has quickly dispelled any thought of this being an easy proposition.

 

For all the disruption the overall benefits of the move will, we hope, prove of benefit to both ourselves and our customers. Thank-you for your continued support.
