Recent contact from customers and increased orders of our T6711 maintenance box units has indicated that there's a signficant problem developing. The issue appears to affects a number of Workforce 3000 series printers but may well apply to the WF-7000 series as well.

Short version:

Some printers are refusing to recognise the maintenance box immediately on setup. Other printers are failing to recognise replacement maintenance boxes.

While we have not yet confirmed this directly, this appears to be affecting both original OEM parts as well as our compatible models.

Information received to date indicates that a recent firmware version is behind the issue and this includes an unrequested firmware update applied when a maintenance boxes replacement is attempted.
