This announcement concerns anyone who has purchased a product that contained or included a WICReset / iWIC key for use with resetting an Epson printers waste ink counter.

Over the past couple of months a number of outages and unexpected changes were applied to the service in response to a third party accessing and abusing the WICReset system. While we're unable to provide details this resulted in a number of changes:

• Considerable work and effort by the WICReset developers to block and then remove access to the third party.
• Cancellation of existing, un-used keys and the issue of replacement keys to vendors (including OctoInkjet).
• Service downtime and further security checks to ensure further access was unavailable.

The system is now running again and security resolved although there is a fake WICresetter now circulating which should be uninstalled and replaced with a copy of the original WICReset utility from OctoInkjet or 2manuals.com.

IMPORTANT:
If you have purchased a key through OctoInkjet which has not been used and a check indicates it has been cancelled then please contact us with your original order details. We can then verify and provide the replacement if appropriate.
