OctoInkjet has a strong ethical attitude towards using recyclable and/or sustainable packaging materials wherever possible.
To that end we use the following products:
- Biodegradeable loosefill pellets (corn starch variety)
- Biodegradeable bubblewrap* (currently unavailable to us)
- Cardboard boxes
- Card Envelopes
- Standard (uncoated) office paper/card for instructions and other documentation.
- Re-use of any loosefill, bubblewrap, boxes, etc.. received with our own components, etc..
In some instances it’s near impossible to use an environmentally product due to the lack of availability and there is a trade off between using heavy recyclable products like padded envelopes using recycled fibre and light bubble types. The former are heavier, less fuel efficient while the latter are lighter and can be re-used so we’ve opted for the latter type.
Naturally we would encourage customers to re-use the packing they receive from OctoInkjet and try to get as much use out of it as possible.
